Banned substances in sport
Athletes who compete in sports governed by a World Anti-Doping Code compliant policy and who take prohibited drugs, medications or substances, face lengthy bans from their respective sport.
This non-exhaustive list includes commonly banned substances in sport which have resulted in positive anti-doping tests, Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs) and subsequent sanctions.
