Webform: Australian National Anti-Doping Policy

At the end of 2017 the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) began a process to revise the World Anti-Doping Code (the Code), which also included a review of the International Standards.

The revised Code will come into force on 1 January 2021.

Changes to the Code and International Standards must be reflected in the Anti-Doping Policies adopted by sports around the world, including Australia.

More information about the Code’s review and the changes coming into effect on 1 January 2021 can be found here

Adopting the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy

We have worked with WADA to develop a policy that meets the requirements of the Code, as well as Australian anti-doping legislation. This is referred to as the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy. The purpose of a single Australian National Anti-Doping Policy is to ensure all sports in Australia comply with consistent anti-doping rules.

If you are a National Sporting Organisation or other Sporting Administration Body and would like to adopt the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy, please complete and submit the form below.

Your request will be submitted to the CEO of Sport Integrity Australia for approval and if approved, the Sports Engagement team will provide you with additional documentation.

The Policy will then be ready for adoption through your sport’s approval process (e.g. through your Board).

Note: An Anti-Doping Policy must be approved by the CEO of Sport Integrity Australia to become effective.

Making a variation to the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy

We understand that some sports have special circumstances that will require a variation to the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy. If this is the case with your sport, we ask that you include the variation/s to the policy in the form below.

Any variation must be approved by the CEO of Sport Integrity Australia before being returned to the sport for formal adoption. Once adopted the sport will be added to a list of sports with a compliant Australian National Anti-Doping Policy.
