Declared sporting event or competition
Declared sporting event or competition
The purpose of the list of declared events is to define athletes as a National-Level Athlete for the purposes of a sport's Anti-Doping Policy.
- Any athlete preparing for, or competing in, any of the declared events listed on this page will be classed as a National-Level Athlete.
- Any athlete on the Sport Integrity Australia Registered Testing Pool or Domestic Testing Pool will also be classed as a National-Level Athlete.
Any athlete who does not compete in any of the declared events listed on this page, or is not in the Sport Integrity Australia CEO’s Registered Testing Pool, National Testing Pool or Domestic Testing Pool, may be considered as a Lower-Level Athlete.
For Lower-Level Athletes, the Sport Integrity Australia CEO will have discretion on whether to proceed with a matter, and, if a violation is proven, greater flexibility in recommending a sanction. This discretion relates only to anti-doping rule violations that are not associated with testing, such as Trafficking or Possession of a prohibited substance or prohibited method.
This declared events list should not be used to determine whether an athlete requires a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE). Please see our information on TUEs for assistance.
