11-nor-delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol-9-carboxylic acid is a metabolite of Tetrahydrocannabinol found in cannabis. Cannabis contains psychoactive cannabinoids including THC (delta9 tetrahydrocannabinol) and the non-psychoactive cannabidiol (CBD).
All forms of the cannabis plant which contain cannabinoids or THC compounds are banned In-Competition, this includes synthetic cannabinoids or products which mimic the effects of THC.
CBD is the only exception, however athletes considering the use of a CBD product need to be aware of the risk of use.
